Bangalore Airport Urbania Transfer
Group transfers to and from Kempegowda International, planned around the road to it rather than the distance on the map.
Kempegowda International sits well north of the city, and for most of Bengaluru that is a run of thirty-five to forty-five kilometres. The distance is not the issue; the approach is. From the south and east — Electronic City, Sarjapur, Whitefield, Koramangala — you are crossing the whole city to reach it, and the Hebbal stretch is the reliable bottleneck. From the north it can be forty minutes. From Electronic City at eight in the morning, two and a half hours is not an unusual answer. We plan on the pessimistic figure, and we would rather you waited at the terminal than missed the counter.
Groups book an Urbania for this run because of luggage rather than seats. Twelve people with international check-in bags do not fit in three cars regardless of how the seat count adds up, and the terminal kerb is a poor place to discover it. The bag count is the number we actually need from you. A thirteen seater with the rear row folded takes a genuine twelve-bag load; above that the seventeen is the honest answer.
We track the flight rather than the schedule, and the free waiting period runs from the actual landing time rather than the printed one. On international arrivals that distinction does real work, because immigration and baggage reclaim can add an unpredictable hour to a flight that touched down exactly on time. For pickups the chauffeur waits in the car park and meets you rather than circling the kerb, which is calmer for a group of twelve with trolleys and costs a parking charge billed at actuals with the receipt.
Two practical notes. Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 have separate approaches, so tell us which one your flight uses rather than assuming we will guess correctly from the airline. And for early-morning departures, the temptation is to leave at four to be safe — which is sensible, and also means a late-night batta applies, because the chauffeur is working through the small hours. We would rather that appeared in the quote than as a surprise.
For groups arriving on separate flights within an hour or two of each other, one vehicle waiting is usually better value than two transfers, and considerably better for the people who landed first. Tell us the flight numbers rather than a single arrival time and we will work out whether one run covers it. Where the gap is longer than about two hours it stops making sense, and we will say so.
