Madurai Airport Urbania Transfer
Group transfers at Madurai airport — a short run, which changes what actually matters about it.
Madurai airport sits close to the city, and the run from most hotels is short by the standards of any other hub we operate. That changes what matters about the transfer. Traffic is rarely the deciding factor; the deciding factors are luggage capacity and whether the vehicle is where it should be when the flight lands. Vehicles are positioned in advance, so a same-day airport request is the booking we are least able to promise.
Groups book an Urbania rather than two cars almost entirely for the bags. A family of ten returning from a temple circuit with a fortnight's luggage does not fit into a pair of sedans however the seat count works out, and the terminal forecourt is a poor place to establish that. Tell us the bag count rather than the headcount. A thirteen seater with the rear row folded takes a genuine twelve-bag load; beyond that the seventeen is the honest answer.
We track the flight rather than the schedule, and the free waiting period runs from the actual landing time rather than the printed one. On a short transfer that distinction still matters, because a chauffeur who has driven from Chennai to be here is not a resource we want idling on the kerb for an hour, and you should not be paying waiting charges for a delay that was never yours.
For departures, the temptation on a short airport run is to leave late because the distance is small. The reason not to is the group rather than the road: twelve people with luggage do not move through a terminal at the speed of one person, and a domestic counter closing is no more forgiving in Madurai than anywhere else. We will propose a pickup that looks generous. It usually turns out to be about right, and where it does not, the terminal is a more comfortable place to wait than the queue outside it.
Where a group is arriving on more than one flight within an hour or two, one vehicle waiting is usually better value than separate transfers and much better for whoever landed first. Send us all the flight numbers rather than one time and we will work out whether a single run covers it. Beyond a two-hour spread it stops making sense, and we will say so rather than have half your party sitting in a small terminal for the sake of a neater invoice.
